Samsung is expected to present a more affordable version of a foldable smartphone alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. The new foldable smartphones from Samsung are set to be unveiled at the Unpacked event in early July. There are still many rumors and confusion surrounding this event.
Besides the anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, there might be a third model introduced as well. One of the possibilities is a more budget-friendly Fold FE or Flip FE, and there have also been rumors about the release of Fold 6 Ultra.
A Korean portal reports that the development of a foldable Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE or Z Flip 6 FE is in progress. The Fan Edition version will be priced significantly lower than the other foldable devices, with a price tag of just under $800. This version is likely to have lower specifications in terms of processor, display, and battery, but will retain cameras on par with current flagship devices.
Speaking of cameras, the Fan Edition model will feature a triple 50 + 10 + 12 MP camera setup, similar to the Z Fold 5, or dual 12-megapixel cameras, like the Z Flip 5. Much remains unknown, as there are still several months left before the announcement of Samsung's next-generation foldable smartphones.
