Forbes recently announced the winners of the '30 Under 30' rating. In the 'Sports and eSports' section, the best were tennis player Mirra Andreeva, swimmer Evgenia Chikunova, and CS:GO player from Team Spirit Danil 'donk' Kryshkovets.
Russian Forbes published a list of winners of the sixth annual rating of the 30 most promising Russians under 30 years old. Among the winners of the rating in the sports and eSports category were 17-year-old eSports athlete Danil 'donk' Kryshkovets, 19-year-old swimmer Evgenia Chikunova, and 17-year-old tennis player Mirra Andreeva.
Kryshkovets has been playing Counter-Strike since childhood. At the age of 12, he was already winning local tournaments in Tomsk. In 2021, when he was just 14 years old, he joined the youth roster of the CS:GO team of the eSports organization Team Spirit. Danil moved to the main roster of Team Spirit in the summer of 2023.
In 2024, the team won the IEM Katowice 2024, and 'donk' received the title of the best player at this tournament according to HLTV, the most prestigious portal about Counter-Strike. Kryshkovets also became the youngest Russian to win the IEM Katowice.
Evgenia Chikunova is a world record holder in the 200m breaststroke. On April 21, 2023, Chikunova swam this distance in 2 minutes and 17.55 seconds at the Russian Championship in Kazan. The 19-year-old swimmer is a silver medalist at the European Championship in the medley relay, a silver medalist at the Short Course World Championship in the 200m breaststroke.
Mirra Andreeva was named the newcomer of the year by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) at the end of the previous season. Her best result in Grand Slam tournaments is reaching the fourth round of Wimbledon (2023) and the Australian Open (2024). Last season, Andreeva made the biggest leap in the rankings in a year, rising a total of 359 positions from 405th to 46th place.
The nominees among representatives of sports and eSports also included gymnast Lala Kramarenko (19), swimmer Kliment Kolesnikov (23), footballer from Dynamo Moscow Konstantin Tyukavin (21), basketball player from Real Madrid Yegor Demin (18), hockey player from Spartak Moscow Nikolai Goldobin (28), Dota 2 player from Team Spirit Denis 'Larl' Sigitov (22), and Dota 2 player from Team Falcons Stanislav 'Malr1ne' Potorak (19).
