Yandex Cloud announced the launch of a certification program for cloud services specialists. The online testing consists of 65 questions and is designed to test both Russian and international standards for cloud specialists. This was reported by the company's press service.
«Engineers, developers, analysts, administrators, architects, DevOps, and other specialists working with cloud technologies will be able to officially confirm their competencies in implementing IT projects - from hosting websites and developing applications to complex integration projects involving data management,» the statement says. The certificate confirms basic knowledge and skills in six areas: basic cloud technologies, data storage and processing, DevOps and automation, serverless computing, information security, and billing.
In the future, the certification lineup is planned to be expanded by adding specialized exams for different cloud professions, emphasized in the company. «To obtain the certificate, it is necessary to correctly answer 70% of the questions or more. The exam is conducted with proctoring - a special program that records video and audio. The service, using artificial intelligence, automatically monitors whether the testing rules are being followed, and records any attempts to cheat,» the statement notes. Professional observers review the recordings and provide feedback that there were no violations during the testing of a specific specialist.
«In the Russian market, unified industry standards are still being developed to measure the level of cloud competencies. Certification will serve as an official confirmation for specialists that they have enough knowledge to use cloud technologies in various tasks, whether it's website development, application development, or corporate data storage organization projects. For companies actively using cloud platforms, certification is an opportunity to test their employees' knowledge and confirm that they will be able to utilize all the capabilities of cloud solutions for business tasks,» concluded Alexander Chernikov, General Director of Yandex Cloud in Russia and the CIS.
Previously, the company also launched training programs for specializations such as 'Cloud Services Engineer,' 'DevOps Engineer,' 'Data Engineer,' 'Information Security Specialist,' and others. 'A total of more than 36.2 thousand people have completed the courses during the entire existence of the programs,' added Yandex Cloud.
